How Could Lord Jesus Wash The Feet Of His Disciples?

On July 6, 2011, in Article, Youth Thoughts, Youth@Borivali, by Borivali Brethren

In John 13, Lord Jesus is seen taking the basin and the towel in utmost humility to wash His disciples’ feet.

But How could the Son of God- the object of worship in heaven, glorious in power; undertake such a humble act of a servant? What was He thinking of Himself when He took the basin and the Towel? Let the Scripture give these Glorious answers…….

Jesus Bowed his head

Jesus Bowed his head Passage of reference John 19:30 When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. Two things we glean from this passage: Completed Sacrifice: The sacrifice of lord Jesus Christ was a completed work. No part was remaining as [...]

Poem : LIVING BY FAITH AND NOT BY SIGHT

On January 5, 2011, in Poems, Youth Thoughts, Youth@Borivali, by Christian__Believers _Assembly

Many a people pressed, thronged and fell on Lord Jesus,
But it was the soft touch on the Hem of His garment,
Which was enough to heal the woman of her issue of blood;
Cause the touch was of faith- “Faith to make her Whole”.

Cover up – When where we last guilty of it ?

On December 22, 2010, in Article, Daily Devotion, Gospel, Ministry Corner, The Corner, Youth@Borivali, by Christian__Believers _Assembly

Cover up, … cover up is to hide from others getting to know. This term was commonly used during the 1972 water gate scandal, when the US president Nixon covered up his staff’s wrong doings
A definition that says what it better would be this – An effort or strategy of concealment

But before fingers are pointed at US president Nixon, or lately even bill Clinton etc… it would be good to see where it is found in the scripture.

Poem:God and Storm, By Joshua Rajan

On November 22, 2010, in Poems, Youth@Borivali, by Borivali Brethren

A foreboding feeling, A nervous abyss inside
Suddenly springing up, and I have nowhere to hide
Nothing to shelter me, No aegis in sight
Just a few moments for the storm to collide

I see the heavy black clouds gather,
I hear the vociferous howling wind blow,
Every speck the potency declaring,
Every gale resembling a mighty foe.

There goes the last golden ray of the sun,
Now vanishes the final streak of fine blue,
Despair comes and makes himself familiar
As all around turns a stronger black hue.
