Fit or unfit- Luke 9:62

In Luke 9:62 we read Jesus saying, “no one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.” Today many in the Christian world are examples of this. They have desire to hold the plow. They start of well. Youths evangelist, ministers all start with an earnest desire to serve the Lord. The moto being, ‘the cross before me the world behind me, no turning back, no turning back’. But slowly they start looking back at the world. The more they start looking back at the fashions of the world, the entertainment, the pleasure, the wealth, the profits, their furrow starts becoming crooked.

More of wanting the glories of the world makes us unfit in the kingdom. Let us examine and see if we are plowing a straight or a crooked furrow. Let’s get our focus back before it’s too late and have deviated too much. May we be able to keep looking ahead, plowing a straight furrow and the Lord considering us fit for the kingdom.
