A GLORIOUS PROMOTION!!!

A Glorious Promotion!!

Verse for Today: Thursday, November 10, 2011

1 Corinthians 15:42 – So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.

Children of God have an imperishable hope that when they go to be with their Lord, their bodies will resurrect with honor, power and glory. Their life never ends with death because they have already received eternal life. Their bodies are sown in the earth just as a seed is sowed. Until the trumpet sounds and the Lord appears in the clouds, their bodies will rest while their souls will rest with the Lord in His presence. But at the sound of the trumpet, within the wink of an eye, their bodes which are sown in weakness, dishonor, sickness and disability will come alive as imperishable, honorable, glorious, powerful, heavenly, spiritual and eternal bodies just like that of our Lord Jesus’ resurrection body. Of course, their souls are in the presence of the Lord as soon as they receive the call from above to go up there. Thus in every sense of the term, a glorious promotion is awaiting all God’s children whether they are in the body or out of the body. This promotion was secured by our Lord Jesus Christ for us on the cross by achieving victory over death. When we become His children, we are inheritors of this heavenly promotion that He secured for us. Some saints get this promotion sooner than others. But all will experience this promotion, some before the rapture of the believers and others at the rapture. We are all regenerated for this heavenly promotion which is our eternal and glorious hope that is in our Lord Jesus Christ. Today we have the privilege to renew this hope and live expectantly for the appearance of our Lord in the clouds. We need not loose our hope because this hope is built on nothing less than the blood of Jesus shed on the cross. So we can claim this blessed hope and live with confidence and courage about our sure and secure future.

Dear reader, are you aware of the glorious hope that is granted to you to live without doubt or confusion about your future? Marvelous things are planned for you by your Lord. He has prepared a place for you and has prepared a glorious promotion for you to be in eternal bliss. All your burdens will be removed from you. Your tears will dry forever because you are going to a land without tears, heartaches, anxiety, concerns or fear. Your corruptible, decaying and weak body which is susceptible to sickness, tiredness, malfunctions, wrinkle, stain and stress will be transformed into a heavenly body without any of these deficiencies of the earth. You will be eternally young and perfectly healthy. None of the earthly cares will be your concern any more. You will have no want of any sort because you would be partaking in the heavenly feast of the goodness of the Father. You will see the Lord who is the lover of your soul and will be lost in the wonder and awe of Him and His glory as you will be like Him. Once you receive the heavenly promotion, there will be no expiry date on you because you will progress through trillions of eternities and will still be perfectly young and healthy as the bride of the Lord. This is why we sing that we shall meet on that beautiful shore when we say bye-bye to our departed ones and not good-bye. A great, glorious and permanent camp meeting is planned in heaven where we will meet with all our departed loved ones and will be there forever without separation. Let us today renew our hope in the Lord and in the appearing of the soon-coming Lord to take us to be with Him forever. Today His hands will dry our tears and build us up to do what He wants us to continue to complete and be ready to meet our Lord in the air.

Philippians 3:14 – But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenwards in Christ Jesus.

Thought for Today

When a beloved one is granted promotion to glory by the Lord, we should congratulate them and praise God for their promotion rather than wish that they were still with us.
