Gospel Call: Lord Jesus Christ loves you

I would like to tell you about Lord Jesus Christ, from the Bible which is the authenticated Word of God. Bible is God’s Word and he has revealed his plan for mankind through his word. The Bible is the only book that even claims to be the Word of God. Bible in John 1:1 claims its authenticity “In the Beginning was the word and the word was with God and the WORD was God”.

The Bible tells of four important facts of life which are applicable to each one of us. They are as follows:

• God Created Man – All what we see and cannot, God has created. Bible talks of the creation of this whole world in the very 1st chapter which you can find in Genesis 1:1 onwards. But Bible specially talks of the creation of man. Bible says that He created man in the image of God (Genesis 1:27). If God was to look at man, he would find His own image in man, God created this whole world with a single word, but God created man with His own hands from dust. He created Him perfectly innocent, without sin. We are all created in the image of God. Think about that. You were created in the form and image of God. You can find evidence to this in Genesis 1:1 to Genesis 3. While the atheists beat the heads understanding the creation, we believe in the glorious work of God and his creation as explained in Genesis 1 to Genesis 3.

• ……BUT MAN SINNED!- From that state of innocence in which God created man, perfect and holy; man sinned. And because the first man sinned, we have all sinned. Nobody among us can say that we are perfect. The Bible says “All have sinned and come short of the glory of God” Rom 3:23. The bible clearly says “All” which includes you and me. God has looked down from Heaven and he has found that all have fallen short of his standards of holiness and hence sinners in his sight.

To Sin is to go against the holy standards of God. It is to Rebel against God our creator. Bible says that, God knows everything that is done in secret. He knows that we are all sinners and He also knows each of our sin. He knows how far we have gone from Him. He knows our thoughts from afar off. Mighty King of Israel David mentions “Where can I hide from thee” Psalm 139:7. Our sins are laid before him. And moreover, we can never get rid our sinful nature. We are always sinners before this Holy God.

• ….MAN SHALL DIE- This is the third truth that bible says about us. Because we have sinned against God, God will judge us. The Bible says “For the wages of sin is death”. Romans 6:23. The penalty of our sins is Death. This ‘Death’ of which Bible speaks is not just the death we know of being separated from our relatives. It is rather to be forever separated from our God. It is to live forever in Hell. If you don’t believe in Hell, I won’t blame you. But the Bible clearly says that just as there is a place called Heaven where God lives, there is a place called hell where God will Judge all who have sinned and are not fit for His presence in Heaven. God has all the right to judge those who have sinned against him; people like me and you. That is eternal abode of Sinners and evil doers.

  
  

But, what if this penalty of sin falls on someone else? What if someone loves you so much that He is ready to take the penalty of Sin you deserve?

My friend, this is exactly what Lord Jesus Christ has done for you.

• ……Christ Died for you- This the most important fact that Holy Bible talks about you. Lord Jesus Christ loves you so much. “For God so loved this word that He gave His only begotten Son [Jesus] that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life”. John 3:16.

He being Son of God, He had no sin in Him. But He loved you so much that He never wanted to see you perish in Hell but he wanted you to live in heaven in His presence. You may have sinned against him and gone away from Him, but He still loves you. You may have gone 1000 steps away from God because of your sins, but He is just a step behind you to take you back into the presence of God

Lord Jesus left Heaven for you and came into this world. He lived just like any other man and never sinned as he was God. He came into this world with just one purpose- To die for you and me. And this he did by dying on the Roman cross.  He was God and had all the power to destroy all those who were crucifying Him on the Cross. But He remained silent and bore all the cruel pain of the cross just for us. And finally on the cross, He cried to his Father in Heaven, “My God, My God, Why have you forsaken me?”. We were the sinners who were supposed to be forsaken by God; But Jesus stood in our place and bore our penalty of sin for us, so that we can walk free.

But then the most glorious thing happened- Lord Jesus  Christ rose from the dead on the 3rd day. And when He rose from the dead, He proved to the whole world that He is the Son of God and has power over death and Satan.

When Lord Jesus was on this earth, He said “I am the Way, the Truth, and life. No man comes to the Father in heaven, But by me”. He is the only way for you to go to Heaven and be saved from all your sins.

“If you confess your sins, He[Jesus] is faithful and just to forgive you, your sins and cleanse you from all unrighteousness”.

He is the one who created you, died for you and is now ready to forgive you of all the sins you have committed against Him. He is Love and He loves you so much.

If you want to be saved from God’s judgment against you for the sins you have committed, Jesus is the way.

I would encourage you to pray a prayer.

1. Admit you’re a sinner.

2. Be willing to turn from your sins. Be sorry about them. Repent for your sins.

3. Believe that Lord Jesus Christ died for you, was buried and rose again from the dead.

4. Through your prayer, invite Lord Jesus Christ into your life, to become the Lord and savior of your life.

I Request you to pray the prayer given below and pray it with all your Heart. Make this prayer yours.

Dear God, I’m a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that Lord Jesus Christ who is the only begotten of God, the sinless Lamb of God, died for my sins and rose up on the third day. I am willing to turn from my sin. I now invite to come into my heart and life as my personal savior. Amen
