Let's go for a case study. We're going to do a case study. This is a modern version of an old story, but it's a modern version, okay? Vikas was a born-again Christian and was brought up reading and following the Bible. When he was 14, he lost his parents and was put up in a hostel. Although his heart was broken due to this sudden turn of events, He kept reading his Bible and found comfort in his relationship with God. The warden loved Vikas and gave him a lot of love and freedom. The hostel warden was from a different religion, and his family used to live in a nearby house. They were very modern in their lifestyle. Their house had a large TV set that always kept playing Hollywood movies or American TV programmes like Friends. Warden had a daughter, who tempted Vikas daily to have an illegitimate relationship with her. But Vikas once told her, "How can I do this great wickedness and sin against God?" She replied, "How does it matter? Your God is in heaven, even if he is there." She also frowned at him, saying, "Is your God a joy killer?" He simply walked away without responding. However, she was determined to win him over. Once, he went to meet the warden at his house, but he was not there. But his daughter suddenly grabbed hold of his jacket and pulled him into her house. He simply left his jacket with her and ran away to safety.
Now we will remember those four parts, and how did it happen with this young boy? That's what we're going to think about. Okay. First question: what do you observe about Vikas thoughts? How were his thoughts, according to you, okay? Since you know the outcome and action, you can work backward and figure out what could have been his thoughts about the whole matter that he's going through. Okay. Second question. What do you observe about Vikas conscience? Okay. How about his conscience? What was on his conscience? When did he have these thoughts? Some girl trying to entice him? What was his conscience saying to him? And then what was the conscience filled with? What kind of thoughts were they filled with? Who has influenced his conscience to such an extent that he can take his thoughts in a different direction? And then, what was the emotion in Vikas's heart when he was tempted? Okay, at this juncture, what were his emotions doing, associated with his thoughts? Then, what was the will of Vivek? How did he develop that kind of will for his life? How did he decide what his will was? And then what was the immediate action Vivek took? All of a sudden, he didn't have an opportunity to think it through. It was a sudden, automatic action. Like when you put your hand in some fire, it's immediate and sudden. How did he develop that kind of action ability? Response system with him?
Describe the personality of Vivek from his heart. We just talked about a crooked person. Come up with one word for this boy. Okay, what kind of personality is this voice? Are you ready? Did you get how we go about it? Thoughts, which are influenced by conscience. Conscience is influenced by the word of God. If it is, if it is not, what else can influence conscience? We're going to see that in a minute. Okay. Something else can also influence the conscience. If the word of God has influenced the conscience, then that person will have emotions accordingly. He will love to do it. I love to do your will. Oh God, somebody's praying, isn't it? How do you love to do God's will? We hate to do God's will, but Dad tells us to, so we do. Emotions are different; something is wrong. If a person's conscience is filled with God's word and his values, you will love them. Your emotions will work accordingly. right, and then you will have your will. Okay, I'm going to do this at any point. And even in your sleep, you're caught up. You will have an action connected to these hearts. Did you understand that your heart is where all the issues of life come from? It is a wise statement, isn't it? Okay, wonderful, but there is a pollution of the heart that happened, and this pollution of the heart is something that has created the ruckus in us, and we all know that. Heart pollution is something we all know. But how did it happen? It happened the same way.It happened the same way.
Have you seen this gentleman? Who is this man? Sardar? He's the Punjab Chief Minister. Okay The latest Punjab Chief Minister, Bhagvatman He went a couple of weeks ago and picked up a glass of water. You can see on YouTube, Not now; I mean, you can do it later." And that's a holy river. He picked it up and drank it. Oh, see how great and beautiful And then he got sick and had to be airlifted and taken to a Delhi hospital, where he was sick. What do you learn from the story? What is the moral of the story? A polluted source cannot provide pure water, even if you name it holy. Even if your name is Christian, even if you are from an assembly background, even if you call yourself a good Christian man of integrity, a woman of integrity, etc. If the source is polluted, it doesn't make any difference. Okay. You have it in Matthew chapter 12, verse 34, "Oh generation of vipers. How can you be evil and say good things? The mouth speaks from the abundance of the heart. Inside is serpentine poison. evil, and then you're talking about good things. Come on, it doesn't work. What's inside you is what's on the outside. There is a famous IT company right inside. written over everything. On every computer, it says "Intel Inside'. Under processor, Intel inside. What is inside is what comes outside. The company says what goes in comes out right; that's what it is. So if it is polluted, what's in the well comes up in the bucket.
Okay, so as the source got polluted, let's look at that. Polluted heart. Sin pollutes our hearts. It started with the first family in this world. And then we have that in the first mention of heart in the Bible. It's in Genesis. And you have that in Genesis 6:5–6. We read like this, and God said that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. Source got polluted. Jeremiah 17:9 says, "The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked; who can know it? Then we have Titus 1:15. To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted. You have one more verse in 1 Timothy 4:2: Such teachings come from hypocritical liars whose consciences have been seared with a hot iron. Now, in the olden days when there was no anaesthesia, okay. And suppose there is a wound and the bleeding is not stopping. They have no choice but to have a hot iron. If you put hot red iron on the moon, it will seal it, and the blood will stop. That's the whole idea. But with that, all the cells around it are also dead. Getting what I've been saying That's the word that has been used in the imagery that has been used here: seared conscience, no more feelings for the good things, no more functioning the way that cells should be functioning. It has become dead. It's become hard. It became numb. And that's what happened to the heart. In the heart.
What are the four conscious? What are the four components? One's conscience, thoughts, and emotions will all get polluted with sin. When did the sin attack first? Where did the sin attack first? Conscience Very good. Excellent. Why did you say that? Because God's word was attacked first, God said, "This is what right and wrong are." That's where the devil attacked first. Change their conscience standard. Change the Word of God and insert his lie, his evil, into that conscience. And then what happened? Next, what happened? When the conscience got compromised, what happened? Thoughts got polluted. She started thinking. Eve started thinking maybe God didn't want me to be like Him. Thoughts got polluted, okay. And then what happened? What touched you? The emotion started touching. She looks at it and says, "Wow, this is beautiful. Earlier, she was looking at it and saying, "No, I can't touch it. But now, wow, that looks nice. Emotions changed. Right? And then what happened? Her will was affected. I'm going to pluck it. And I'm going to make my fellows also eat it. We're going to be like the gods. Will got affected, and then what happened? Action. She plucked it and ate it. And then that person is called a sinner. You got that personality as a sinner, and sadly, the human race has as well. So it's the same way it got polluted.
